Ingredients

  • Chicken stock or vegetable stock - 1 1/2 cups.
  • Chopped onions - 2 cups
  • Fresh parsley – 1/4 cup. (It should be chopped).
  • Thinly sliced celery - 1 1/2 cups.
  • Diced tart apple - 1 cup (It should be peeled and cored).
  • Lightly toasted bread cubes - 12 cups
  • Butter – 1/4 cup.
  • Ground sage – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground marjoram – 1 tablespoon.
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon.
  • Pepper – 1 teaspoon.
  • Savory – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Thyme – 1/2 teaspoon.

Cooking guidelines

Pour butter

You have to saute apple, onions and celery. (Stop when onion becomes translucent).

You need to stir in sage, salt, marjoram, savory, thyme and pepper.

The next step is to combine vegetable mixture with the parsley and bread cubes

Toss properly.

Stock must be poured over the mixture.

Toss again.

You must spoon into your crock-pot.

It should be covered and cooked for 60minutes.

Reduce the heat to low.

Continue cooking for 2 to 3 hours.

Stir every hour.

The dish is ready to serve.
