The preparation time for this watermelon granita is 7 hours and 30 minutes and, the cooking time comes around 10 minutes. You just need three ingredients to prepare this icy treat and with the quantity advocated, you can serve it for four people. Take a medium heavy-based saucepan. Then, you have to add 1 cup of cold water in the pan.
The next step is to place the sugar in the pan.
The heat should be kept at a lower level and you need to cook it for around 4 minutes.
It should be stirred regularly.
You can stop the cooking process when the sugar is dissolved.
Now, you can increase the heat to high level. Watermelon should be added.
Bring to the boil.
Then, the heat should be reduced to the minimum.
The next step is to simmer for 5 minutes.
The pan needs to be removed from the heat. You have to leave it for 10 more minutes.
Now, you have to take a food processor. The watermelon mixture should be placed in the food processor.

Take an 18 cm x 28 cm (base) slice pan. Pour the mixture into the pan.
It should be frozen for 3 hours. (You need to make sure that the mixture is just beginning to freeze).
Take a fork. Flake mixture using the fork to break up the ice crystals starting to form.
Then, it should be covered with a plastic wrap.
The next step is to foil.
Freeze it for 4 more hours.
You have to flake the mixture every 1 hour.
Stop it when completely frozen.
The dish is ready to serve.
