This drink is to be used in place of store-bought sport drinks filled with unrecognizable ingredients. Regular cherry juice can be used in place of tart cherry juice if desired. Coconut water can also be added.

Ingredients

  • 32 fluid ounces water

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 3 cups tart cherry juice (such as Knudsen®)

  • ¼ cup lemon juice

Directions

  1. Bring water and salt to a boil in a pot until salt is dissolved, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir cherry juice and lemon juice into salted water. Remove pot from heat and chill in refrigerator, about 4 hours.
