Soy sauce and red pepper flakes dial it up for green beans with pizzazz!

Ingredients

Beans

  • 1 bag (22 oz) frozen whole green beans

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely chopped

Steps

    Cook green beans as directed on bag. Drain; place in serving bowl.
  • 2
    Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan, mix sauce ingredients until well blended. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear.

    Stir sauce into cooked green beans to coat.
