Made this tonight with left over turkey from Thanksgiving..my family loved it and it was really easy and fast!
Very good, quick, and easy. Next time I will do less batter so there is a thinner crust on top.
YUM! I loved it. The creamy texture was the best part. Next time, I'll look up a different recipe for the crust. I used bisquick (because I don't know another "all purpose baking mix"?), and it turned out soft.. much like pancakes. Go figure! Otherwise, I would have rated it 5 stars if the crust were thin and crisp.
I had to double the recipe so I made 4 chicken breast and put it in a 9X13. I also added milk to the soup because it looked too dry. Other than that, I made exactly double the recipe and it came out very good. An easy recipe so I will probably make again sometime.
This recipe was SO easy to prepare, and it was delicious! I used the meat from a chicken (cornish game hen to be exact) that I had cooked the day before. I had cooked the chicken with a mixture of garlic, rosemary, sage, and sea salt rubbed under the skin to give the chicken good flavor. I then saved the extra cooked chicken leftovers with this recipe in mind. It turned out perfectly! I have no suggestions for improvements. :)
