Greek Steak Pitas with Dill Sauce
A lemon juice marinade quickly penetrates the steak, so a 10-minute soak is enough to flavor the meat. You can substitute crumbled goat or blue cheese in place of the feta.

my husband and I make this meal at least once a month- it is SO good! the steak marinates effectively and quickly- the flavors of the dill sauce and feta meld perfectly. we use the dill that comes in the "fresh squeeze" tube instead, which is quite good and keeps WAY longer. be sure to slice the steak very thinly and use a proper cut of meat... MUST TRY!
Delicious. Loved the marinade and the dill sauce. Made it a couple of weeks ago, and already craving it again.
What a great weeknight dinner!I did sub sour cream for the yogurt in the sauce and marinated the meat overnight.I doubled the recipe and used 2 steaks. On the side I served the Greek salad made by Suddenly Salad. It was a great hit!
Quick & easy. Used fresh oregano instead of dry & marinated at room temp 10min/side. Grilled steak outdoors and let rest while making the yogurt sauce & side salad (red onion, tomato, cuke, kalamata olive & Maple Grove Greek dressing). Very tasty and so great to keep the kitchen cool on a hot summer evening.
I love the dill sauce, will marinate the steak longer next time and cook for a little less time but definitely a tasty sandwich. Everyone at work was jealous when I brought these to work for lunch for the last week.
Nothing spectacular, but quick and easy and quite tasty. I would possibly make again. We cooked the steak in a cast iron skillet. Marinade was good for a 10 minute marinade. I would maybe cut back slightly on the dill in the yogurt sauce. Made the tomato cucumber salad as suggested with the menu for this meal. Healthy and delicious. Loved the balsamic vinegar dressing.
This recipe is fantastic. My fiancee has been to Turkey and other countries were stuff like this is made and said that these pitas were the best he has ever had!!! I loved it and will definitely make again. The only thing I did different was add 1 tsp of sour cream to sauce and a little sugar. I also let the steak marinate for about three hours. Do try this recipe.
Absolutely LOVED the steak and the tomato-cuke side salad. We didn't care for the sauce and will not make that again but the steak and salad will be a staple around here. I added 3 1oz. sliced sticks of string cheese to the salad.
Excellent and would be perfect for a summer time BBQ!
