Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
The homely passion fruit, grown in the tropics, is about the size of a golf ball, with wrinkly purple-black skin. Inside, however, the orange flesh has a bright, sweet, amazing flavor that adds life to many kinds of beverages.
  • tip 2
Purchase ripe mangoes that yield gently to the touch without being too soft.
  • tip 3
Passion fruits are small, egg-shaped tropical fruits with a dry, crinkly purple exterior and a tropical perfume. Inside, you'll find sweet, yet slightly tart, orange flesh and crunchy black seeds.
  • tip 4
Rum is distilled from fermented sugar cane juice or molasses. It’s a popular spirit in the Caribbean, where most rum is made.
