Ingredients

  • 250g of butter
  • 4 tbsp of golden syrup
  • 3 Double Twix bars
  • 350g of Oats
  • Oven dish 12cm by 12 cm, 5cm deep
  • Brown lining paper

Method

  • STEP 1
    Preheat the oven to 200C/gas 6 fan assisted
  • STEP 2
    Add the butter and syrup to a large saucepan on a very low heat, and leave to melt
  • STEP 3
    Weigh out the 350g oats and chop the Twix bars into small 1/2 inch chunks, Add the oats to the melted butter and syrup and mix well coating the oats, then add the Twix and give a quick mix
  • STEP 4
    Pour the mix into a lined oven dish approx 12cm by 12cm and 5cm deep, flatten down with a spoon and put into oven for approx 20 mins or until slighty brown on top
  • STEP 5
    Remove from oven and leave to cool for 10 mins, then carefully turn out onto a surface to cool completely, cut into bars and enjoy with a cuppa!
